Recent Ambassador Hotel Milwaukee Review: "Everything about our stay was great. They tried to keep everything looking like an old hotel, while their remodeling unobtrusively brought everything up to date. Even the elevators had old-time doors you had to swing open, revealing the modern elevator behind. Every contact with staff was extremely positive. They were all very helpful and friendly. We  were there when some rock concert was going on across the street, and saw people "dressed" for the concert staying next door. We expected to hear a wake-up call of those partiers returning late at night, but we did not hear a peep. Thick old-time walls really make the difference. I was hesitant on staying here, especially with some of the reviews talking about noise from the bar carrying up through the floors. I went into the bar, and they had TVs on watching sports, but nothing loud, and I certainly didn't hear any of that noise even carry through the lobby area. Very comfortable bed, we had a huge room with a full-size couch, lots of pillows, towels, large flatscreen TV, modern air-conditioning controls that worked, and free Wi-Fi. Also they have their own free parking garage, as well as outside parking. One day we asked that they make up the room early, and they replied they would put us first on the list, and sure enough they followed through. We will certainly stay here again when we are in the area."
